The short version: Groovelock collects no data. It uses the microphone only while you are actively listening, analyses the sound on your device in real time, and never records, stores or transmits audio.
Groovelock uses your device's microphone, only while you have pressed LOCK or LIVE, to analyse the music playing around you and estimate its musical key and tempo. The audio is processed in memory on your device in real time. It is never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.
None. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party services. It does not use any device identifier.
Your display preferences (light or dark theme, wheel style, tempo range) are kept in the app's local storage so they are remembered next time. They never leave the device and are removed when you delete the app.
The iOS app works entirely offline and makes no network connections. The web version of the app loads two typefaces from Google Fonts, which involves a standard web request to Google's servers; see Google's privacy policy for how they handle such requests.
The app is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.
If the app ever adds a feature that collects or transmits data, this policy will be updated first and the app will ask for your consent in that feature. Questions: feeltheenergysf@gmail.com.
